The Parish Nursing Ministry at Shepherd’s Gate consists of registered nurses and other volunteers who serve under their direction. Together the Parish Nursing team plans and implements a verity of programs and events that help members and guests of Shepherd’s Gate with their health needs.
Role and Services
The Parish Nursing team:
Plans and implements a varity of programs and events that assist people in living healthier lifestyles
Provides monthly blood pressure screening
Stays informed of the theory and practice of parish nursing through independent reading, conferences and networking
The Parish Nursing team does not provide invasive procedures such as blood tests, injections and wound care.
Qualifications and Contacts
Members of the Parish nursing team have a love for God’s people accompanied with a passion to keep people growing in faith in Jesus Christ. They maintain confidentiality and have a conviction of the importance that physical health makes in peoples lives.
