We recognize parents as the primary influence in student's lives. Junior High Leaders (Faith Guides) support parents and youth as they grow deeper in their walk with God.
Confirmation Seminars
Shepherd's Gate offers a series of Confirmation seminars to help students fully understand our beliefs and provide insights about our church.
Parents are asked to stay from 9:00-9:30 a.m. and then return at 12:00 p.m. for the luncheon.

Jr High Confirmation Retreat
The Jr High Retreat is held in Attica, Michigan at Michigan Christian Youth Camp and Retreat Center. Students participate in canoeing, group building activities, and bonfires. The 2008 retreat was May 3-4. Click here to see pictures from the last retreat.
Junior High Youth Group
The 7th – 8th grade youth meet in the Jr High Room #18 on Wednesdays 7:00-8:30 p.m. for fun, learning, and to build friendships. Guests are always welcome; students are encouraged to bring their friends. Youth participate in games, lessons, and small group activities. Faith Guides lead group discussions that are relevant to today's teens. The room is equipped with ping-pong, foosball, air hockey, Wii, GameCube, PS2, board and card games. Junior High Bible Study
10:00-11:15 a.m. on Sunday's in the Jr High Room #18 students meet for breakfast, video lessons, and Bible study. We break for the summer from June-August.
Junior High Basketball
Every Tuesday night from 5:30-7:30 p.m. we offer open basketball for students in grades 5th-8th. New teams are created each week. Students are encouraged to bring their friends. Adult leaders monitor the games and offer encouragement and support. Students can join at any time.
Faith Guides
Faith Guides are dedicated adult leaders who have a passion for Junior High Ministry. Different Faith Guides teach the weekly youth group lessons. They also lead small groups for youth group and Confirmation in order to provide our teens with personal attention and support.
