There are many opportunities to connect with people like you, to meet people and begin to build friendships. Activity groups are great places to connect, laugh, and grow together.
Sports Ministry
Shepherd's Gate currently offers basketball, golf, walking, and camping groups year round. We're always looking to add more sports and leagues. Contact the church office for more information. Check out the calendar for open basketball dates and times -- offered on a regular basis in the Family Life Center gym.
LAUNCH
LAUNCH exists to connect young adults (18-25 years old) in community and fellowship. We realize it's not so much about age as it is season of life, so you are more then welcome to join us if you are on the boundaries of those ages. We meet twice a month in Room 43 on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month starting at 7:30 PM Contact Scott and Risa Walter or email for more info.
Camping Group
Do you like the great outdoors? Then the camping group at Shepherd's Gate may be for you. All are welcome to participate. Families take turns, every month in the summer, hosting a weekend. We share bonfires on Friday nights with lots of snacks, and Saturday night worship services.
Couples Ministry
Couples ministry strives to bring couples in a closer relationship with each other, with Christ as the center. Events and activities are designed to nurture, educate, provide fellowship, and foster spiritual growth.
M.O.P.S -- Mothers of Preschoolers
Designed by mothers, this program is for mothers of children birth to kindergarten. Come join other moms for fun, food and fellowship. MOPS meets every 2nd and 4th Friday from 9:30-11:30 am, September through May.
Men's Ministry
The Men's ministry seeks to join men together to provide encouragement and tools to spread the Good News, as well as support to refuel and refocus for life's battles. The men are active in Bible study, prayer groups and fellowship through other special events. The annual Men's Retreat in the spring is a popular event where men take a break for fellowship and spiritual support.
Women's Ministry
The women's ministry seeks to support, encourage, and equip women for life and ministry. There are various Bible studies and special events for women throughout the year. Activities like the annual Advent Tea provide opportunity for fellowship and support. The Women's Mentoring program provides personal care and support. Other Events
Throughout the year, there are other opportunities to meet people and enjoy fun and fellowship: The annual church picnic, Super Bowl party, Family Fall Festival, special seminars, kids activities and more. Activities are regularly planned for adults and family. Check the calendar for details.
