History
Our beginning
Shepherd's Gate began in 1980 when seven families set out on a mission to bring the gospel to the community using a unique and relevant approach. Our first service was held at a local junior high school in April 1980. In 1984, the first church facility was constructed – and growth has continued ever since. Today we have over 1100 members and offer many ministries and opportunities for people of all ages to find purpose and meaning in life.
Our future
From the beginning, our goal was not to become a big church, but rather to be the Church to each other and the community. We will continue to foster authentic relationships, build life-long friendships, offer small group opportunities, develop people spiritually, and motivate our people to fulfill their personal calling. We are equipped by Him to help shape the direction of this world in a way that has eternal significance. Our confidence is in God. His Word convicts our hearts, His Spirit guides our steps, and by faith, we have hope for tomorrow.
